If you are interested in running for Student Council Executive Board for the 2018-2019 school year, see Ms. Casey in the library for an application. The deadline to submit an application and declare running for a position is Wednesday, April 25th. There will be a short meeting in the library for all candidates Wednesday, April 25th immediately after school.
Attention Conard students and teachers: Are you interested in simultaneously helping the American Cancer Society and winning great prizes? If so, then buy tickets all this week for an in-school raffle today, April 20th. Tickets for students are $2 each or $3 for 5 and $6 for 10. Tickets for teachers are $3 each or $4 for 10. Thank you for supporting a great cause!
Junior Prom tickets are now on sale before and after school in room 201 – we accept cash or checks made out to Conard High School. Tables are for 10 people – please get these set BEFORE you purchase tickets.
Would you like to see your design on the front cover of the Student Handbook next year? The measurement details are available on the front counter in the Main Office and all entries must be submitted by Friday, May 4th. Use your creativity and perhaps you’ll see your work on next year’s cover! Any questions please see Mrs. Hickey in the Main Office.
Clean out your closets and drawers as spring cleaning comes around and donate your clothes to the clothing drive being held today. Please donate any gently used clothes, shoes, jackets, etc. Drop them in the donation box at the front of the school. All of the clothing will be donated to a local organization that will give this clothing to people in need.
_____________________________________________________________________________ Tuesday, April 24th all juniors will participate in the School Day SAT during periods 1-5. SAT testing room locations for juniors have been posted throughout the school. Juniors, please take a moment before Tuesday to check what room you will be reporting to for testing. This information, along with classroom relocation information for SAT testing can be found on the Conard website. Please arrive to your testing room by 7:20 am and remember to bring a number 2 pencil, a scientific or graphic calculator, a snack and to power off your electronic devices and place them in your backpack before entering the testing room. National Honor Society is sponsoring a food drive for the West Hartford Food Bank. The Food Bank is low on rice, baked beans, canned spaghetti and canned fruit but any donation would be welcome. Donations can be dropped off at any lunch wave starting next week from April 23rd through April 27th. The class who donates the most food will receive a donation to their class board. Thank you for helping!
Tickets for Senior Prom and the Six Flags senior trip will be sold for $60 before or after school in Mrs. Niland’s room (162) starting April 23rd until May 2nd. Any tickets sold between May 3rd and May 9th will be increased to $70 per ticket so buy your ticket sooner rather than later! NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AFTER MAY 9th. Please take care of financial obligations, permission slip for the trip and prom guest form prior to purchasing tickets.
